It is this writers hope that your soul be enchanted. Enchantment is a state of connection to the heart. Each and every Soul Friend who is featured here is an invitation to enchantment.
When you see ment at the end of a word it indicates that the word implies action. Each and every radiant being featured on Radiant Soul Friends is inviting you to chant. The chant you are being invited into is your unique sound. This is your unique heart song that is intended to flow through you.
An Anam Cara will invite you into a feeling connection to your unique sound. They know that there is within you a longing. This longing is to express creatively in the way that only you can be and do. This longing is beautifully expressed by the mystic poet Jelaluddin Rumi (1207-1273) in the invitation entitled Songbird translated by Coleman Barks.

Each and every Soul Friend listed here is inviting you to the awareness of the Universal Soul that created you in order that it can experience the joy of Love in Action. Every one of these Soul Friends is such a unique invitation.
Everyone of them will tell you a secret. It is the same secret but it expresses in countless ways. Jesus expresses it differently from Buddha. Each wave on the ocean of time moves in a very different way on the ocean of the Timeless. None is better than the other but each is unique, just as you are.
Each and everyone of these Soul Friends will tell you one thing. YOU are not different from them. They do not put themselves on a pedestal and say, "Look at me." They invite you to look into the mirror of your heart. Their work is the work of inviting you to clear the dust from the mirror and see your radiant reflection.
They are not out to improve you. They know all you need is to clear the dust from the mirror. Then, when you look in the mirror and ask, "Mirror on the wall who is the fairest of them all?" you will laugh at the idea that you can be compared to anyone else. All the people on this site who are invitations to radiance know the answer to this question in their unique Universal Song way.
Each and every Anam cara (Anam cara meaning Soul Friend) invites you to look into the mirror of your heart. Until you accept this invitation you keep yourself out of the awareness of the beauty that is at the heart of who you are. You miss the invisible embrace that will mind you all your days.
This site invites The Anam cara Experience. This invitation has been issued, and is being issued, by all of the beautiful radiances and resonance's who have been willing to have the Universal Soul sing her unique song through them. This doesn't mean that they become singers, poets, artists, storytellers. It means that if you are a lawyer, a mother (the greatest of invitations) a father (an equally great invitation) a car mechanic, a cashier at a supermarket you are invited to radiate the beauty inherent in that task.
The invitations here are saying, "Be the expression of grace in this world of form you have come here to be." One of the greatest teachers this world has ever known gives you this invitation
Let your light so shine before men that they will glorify God.
This comes at the end of one of the worlds greatest teachings called "The Sermon on the Mount.. It is like other teachings such as the Heart Sutra and the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali. These are cultural and time based, but like great all soul connectedness, express that which is beyond time and space. We in Ireland refer to this feeling connection with the Timeless as the Land of Tir Na Nog - the Land of the Forever Young.
On this site there are many pictures. Pictures paint a thousand words and more. They are invitations beyond the intellect. The intellect is where sleeping beauty is imprisoned until someone comes to kiss her awake to the knowing intelligence of the heart. Only one versed in such intelligence can enter the tower. Each and everyone of the radiant being featured here invite you to the hero' journey that takes you into your unique awakening.
All of the radiant individuals here will tell you that they, as expressions of the Divine in form, are purely inviting you into the awakening of beauty. All the storytellers, all the artists, all the singer/songwriters and all the mystics are inviting you into the one secret that each of them are expressing in a unique way as the flow of the Universal Song through them.
This Soul Friend is graced this website from the efforts of many people. There are too many to name here. This website is an invitation. This was one of the most beautiful words that the human heart can express when in connection to the Divine.
I know of few people who expressed such invitation better than one of Irelands greatest souls. This is the poet and writer John O'Donohue. I never met this soul but visitors to this site might notice that the word invitation is the most popular of words for this writer. This word is the gift given to this writer from the readings of Irelands Anam cara.
This site is about the Anam cara invitation. No one, to this writers mind, has ever issued such an invitation more graciously and expansively than John O'Donohue. He begins this list of Soul Friends. He is a great Soul Friend of this writer along with so many others.
This site is about communion.
Rosenkrantz - Communion
It is about holy communion. This is what John O'Donohue recognized was being lost to the culture of the sound bite. Ireland has lost many of her most beautiful sons of late. There has been John O'Donohue, John Moriarty and John McGahern. Not only this, but her politicians have authorized that Tara the mythical and ancient spiritual centre and her magical connection to the Timeless be destroyed to make way for a motorway.
Let this site, and your commitment to it, go some way to be the invitation that John O'Donohue wanted to protect. This is the invitation to Soul Friendship that can then manifest as Love in Action. John O'Donohue studied mystics.
To accept this invitation is to align yourself with purpose, passion and prosperity. This is aligning yourself with real abundance. This is were you simply pour yourself away in Love because that is all you recognize as being who you are. John O'Donohue was one of Irelands great writers and poets. He will bless me for finishing this web page with a poem by another poet. He will smile to think that he could be invited to the same banquet that fed the universal beauty of the mystic poet Hafiz.
I know the way you can get When you have not had a drink of Love: Your face hardens, Your sweet muscles cramp. Children become concerned About a strange look that appears in your eyes Which even begins to worry your own mirror And nose.
Squirrels and birds sense your sadness And call an important conference in a tall tree. They decide which secret code to chant To help your mind and soul. Even angels fear that brand of madness That arrays itself against the world And throws sharp stones and spears into The innocent and into ones self.
O I know the way you can get If you have not been drinking Love: You might rip apart Every sentence your friends and teachers say, Looking for hidden clauses. You might weigh every word on a scale Like a dead fish. You might pull out a ruler to measure From every angle in your darkness The beautiful dimensions of a heart you once Trusted.
I know the way you can get If you have not had a drink from Loves Hands. That is why all the Great Ones speak of The vital need To keep remembering God, So you will come to know and see Him As being so Playful And Wanting, Just Wanting to help. That is why Hafiz says:
Bring your cup near me. For all I care about Is quenching your thirst for freedom! All a Sane man can ever care about Is giving Love!

Each of these radiant Soul Friends is inviting you to hear the God and the good that is always laughing within you. Laughter is a very unique expression in the world of form. It is only available to humans. It is what happens when you wake up to the Anam cara Experience. This is the feeling experience of knowing you are so much more than the insanity you see manifesting in so many fear filled ways in this world.
The Anam cara invites you beyond wondedness to sanity. As the beautiful soul radiance of Hafiz invites, "All a sane man can ever care about is giving Love." Off course "man" in this context means "hu-man." The "hu" in human means, "The sound of God." Thus, the translation of the word "hu-man" means, universal sound that sings through the form called humanity.
Let each and everyone of these Soul Friends invite you into what you already know but have merely forgotten. These teachers are not asking you to improve yourself but to know your Self. When this is your heart felt knowing you become the free flow of Love in Action. You experience friendship with your soul. This is the bridge that takes you between what we in Ireland refer to as the two worlds. The world of time and world of eternity.
An Anam cara invites you into Hero' journey. This is the only journey that you need to take. Each and everyone of the Soul Friends featured here have taken this endless journey into Love. They have claimed the treasure that is unique to them. They are not inviting you to claim the same treasure. They know your treasure is what God (or whatever name you care to use) gave to you when you entered this world of time and space.
When you find it there is nothing you can do other than give it away. The paradox is that the more you give this unique treasure away without conditions the more it returns to you. Come and join us on the journey into the highest good for all.
