"Divine Purpose - Following the Dreamseller or the Dreamstealer"

"Hey, Mr. Dreamseller, Where have you been?"

Creation is a dream seller. In the film, "Field of Dreams" the lead character is told, "If you build, they will come." This is a beautiful and  a powerful invitation to the practice of faith. This is not necessarily faith in anything such as a creed or a doctrine but faith as a process.   This Field of Dreams is also your personal field that is created from the One Field, the One Source.  This source created you to become its builder of higher and higher creative purpose.

The Dreamseller is not a trader for profit. The Dreamseller is a prophet. As such, the Dreamseller is a flow of abundance. The Dreamseller trades rags for riches and turns lead into gold. The Dreamseller is a kind of holy fool.  They seem slightly crazy and you will meet them in what appears as strange guises and they will invite you to cross threshold places.

There is another side to this character. This is the one who is the Dreamstealer. The Dreamstealer is a ragamuffin character. He will sell you ideas about your Divine Purpose that are still within the dreamtime.  The Dreamstealer will tell you all about your Divine Purpose and invite you to make the investment in YOUR higher power.  This is like a battery feeding of a battery.  It is like accepting the invitation to lean your ladder of creative imagination against the wall of illusion. 

You meet with the Dreamstealer in fairy stories.  The purpose of these wonder tales (given such names to invite wonder) is to remind you that you are the Dreamstealer.  To be more exact the sense of separateness you identify as "little me" is the one who steals the real dream.  This is not a popular invitation.  It has never been popular.  Two thousand years ago it wasn't popular.  Dream stealers have existed in all times and all cultures.

There are plenty of dream stealers dressed in rags promoting their knowledge of your Divine Purpose.  They talk the right language and invite you into what can be a deepening nightmare of self absorption in YOUR intuition, YOUR goals, YOUR purpose.  This sounds like it  is a great invitation.  This invitation has been around for thousands of years.   It has been the invitation over the last five hundred years in what is called The American Dream.  This is the invitation to unbridled use of resources for purposes of self interest often disguised as Divine Purpose. It has kept the poor in poverty and the rich in prison.

All mystics will tell you this it will end in tears.  This isn't a punishment.  Love wants YOU.  To be more accurate Love is YOU creating YOU to fall in love with itself forever.  It loves this play so much it devised a way of doing it in billions of ways.  It created you to be an invitation to higher Love.  If your Dreamseller is selling you any idea other than the invitation to the beauty of the timeless then they are as the people in the fairy tale "The King is wearing no clothes." They are telling you that you are wearing clothes when in fact you are stark naked.  The King in this story is YOU and your identity as "little me." 

Does your present Dreamseller know (and I don't just mean intellectually know) that they are the timeless expression of Love in form?  Do they claim that what they are teaching you is their own? Do they claim that the invitation to your Divine Purpose can be given to you by them?  If they are then they are inviting, not Divine Purpose, but ego purpose.  They are inviting you into narcissism.  As the Greek myth of Echo and Narcissus tells us it all ends in tears. 

"The road to hell"  is as they say, "paved with good intentions."  Intention is the creative power of the universe.  It is there for you to use for the play of Love in form.  If you are intent on using it for YOUR own purpose then you are playing with the fire of creation.  This creation doesn't feel you separate from itself.  However, you do feel separate from creation.  If you think not, look at what we as the collective called humanity feel about and do to our environment.  Is this the demonstration of the beauty of Divine Purpose. Are your Dream stealers selling you more of the same.

Be very conscious of who you chose to journey into your Divine Purpose with.  Any one of the Soul Friends on this site, and particularly those who are mystic poets, can be fully trusted as a Dreamseller.  They will take you to the threshold beyond the dream time of separateness from Love.  

Most of the invitations here on this soul friend site are timeless.  This doesn't mean they are old.  It means they are forever new and what, in Irish mythology, is called the forever young.  Any one else, including this Irish storyteller, is to be questioned.  If you have doubts turn inward to the source.  As the  Jedi Master in Star Wars advises, "Let the force be with you." 

This is a practice of surrender.  It is a practice of deeper and deeper trusting in the invitation inherent in you born of the timeless.  No one can give you this.  A soul friend can only be an invitation for you to come to the edge.  They have journeyed in their own way to their own edges.  Their way is not your way.  In the end you have to go alone to find the paradox at the heart of life that is the illusion that you are ever alone.

So be very discriminating.  Titles mean nothing.  Authority means nothing.  Just because someone sets themselves up as a Divine Purpose invitation doesn't mean they know anything about the experience of what Buddhists refer to as stream entry.  They are not divine fools.  They are not to be confused with a jester. The Dreamstealer is, like many traditional jesters, dressed in rags. Some of these rags are colorful and contain promises of beautiful words. 

The greatest invitation that this Irish storyteller has come across is from the master of the dream time called Jesus of Nazareth.  This is not the Jesus of Nazareth being sold as a Dreamstealer within orthodox religion that takes much of his teaching literally.  He, together with the Buddha, Rumi, Hafiz, Patanjilli and others featured on this web site are the  real Dreamsellers.  

What distinguishes them is one very important distinction.  They know (which is not intellectual knowledge but gnosis) that you are not just of this world of time but are the living embodiment of the timelessness of Love.  They know that you are unhappy.  They know that nothing will compensate your soul  for the loss of that which is forever.  This direct knowing of eternity is your Divine Purpose.  Anything else on offer are rags masquerading as riches.

These love invitations in form (Jesus, Buddha, Rumi, Hafiz and others) know that anyone selling you other than the timeless awareness of Love as the meaning of life in form is a dream stealer. This is the real meaning of the story of Jesus throwing the moneychangers out of the temple.  This story, like all bible stories, isn't to be taken literally. The Dream stealers are those inviting you to worship the energy you call YOUR energy and YOUR purpose.   These moneychangers are sellers of rags.  The rags may be wrapped up in pretty words but if they are not inviting you to the eternal they are not the riches of Divine Purpose.

Let this foolish Irish storyteller invite you to join with those on this website who have lived and loved the invitation to what we in Ireland call "The Land of the Forever Young" where you as a holy fool will laugh at the very idea that your Divine Purpose is YOURS.
