What Happens if Your Suppress Your Creativity?

When your creativity is held inside, not given expression, repressed, it is similar to the brook having its waters blocked by a dam. The water has no place to go, is forced to create a new way of being, without the forward movement. 

The smallest brook is a force that when blocked changes into something new: a puddle, a pond, a lake. So it is within the body when creativity has no place to go. It creates a new way of being. 

It becomes something new. Your creativity is an energy, a force desirous of escape. When blocked it festers in the body and changes from one form to another: depression, anxiety, anger, rage, cysts, tumors, and growths in the body.

Creativity is Your Birthright

You were born onto this planet a creative being. Your creativity must flow from you toward expansion just as the brook eventually folds into the sea. You must bring forth that which is within you so it can unfold. It begins with your creativity longing to reveal its passions on paper, canvas, metal, earth, wood, or with color, scraps, plants, or food. The materials matter not, for creating can take form even through mental visualization, a powerful act of creation. All of these are like the brook rolling toward the expansive sea.

Heal Your Spirit With Your Creativity

Imagine your creative force moving outward manifesting into a song, a painting, a sandcastle. A force that flows freely. You are a creative being. Bring forth the artist so desirous of expression. You will heal your body, your mind, and your spirit as you act upon your potential.

I guess you might say that the new art comes from a more conscious grace. There is a saying, "Fools and children are divinely guided and protected." 

Like the fool, I guess my path as an artist was divinely guided in some mysterious way, for which I am most grateful. 

This is in spite of my willful attempt to control what I thought I was doing as a young artist. Fool's guidance brought me to the proper edge where I could confront the possibility of a leap into the void. This confrontation offered me the opportunity to choose conscious Being over mindless doing.

A picture says a thousand words. A picture is also more holistic and symbolic. The invitation from the soul comes in symbols that cross time and culture, gender and religion. This is why on this site you will see many evocative pictures.

These pictures evoke a connection to the timeless.  They are works of art. Works of art are emotional representations of the timeless in form.  This is why they remain with us. The artist allowed the flow of creation to move through them to express in a unique way. Because the artist painted, sculpted or created in whatever media, they expressed this creative flow of the timeless.  This offers an emotional connection to that timeless dimension to the viewer. The energy within the form of artwork is still available to you as an invitation to know the truth of who you are.

In The Anamcara Experience eCourse we use great art as an invitation to the soul. This is an invitation to allow the creative flow of that which is yet to manifest to be manifest through you. You, too, are designed to become the true artist that Creation birthed you in form to express. This is its joy and your alignment with this source is your joy as well.

We will continue to add pictures to this site.  These will be representations that we consider invitations to the soul.  These will be from artists of old and modern times. The art may be a painting, a photo of a sculpture, or an inspired graphic. There will be on occasion a detailed unfolding of the picture’s spiritual content from this writer’s viewpoint.  This is not to be taken as in any sense authoritative. It is only an invitation to the way that the picture speaks to this writer.

If any one of our readers or subscribers wishes to submit a painting or piece of art that they have a soul connection to then please send this writer more details.  This can be a painting or sculpture that has been created by or through you. It can simply be a piece of artwork with which you feel spiritually connected.

It is our intention that this site will feature all the wonderful artists shown here in a separate part of this site. This will allow you to learn about the artists themselves. However, the artist is not really interested in your learning about who they were or are as what it was and is being expressed through the art they were graced to present to us.

An Anamcara invites you to connect your heart, mind and soul with art.  These are invitations that can then live through you. They can serve to remind you of central themes in what it means to journey in form to the place you have never left. These works of art are great invitations to beauty and grace. They were created as reminders for us to never forget our timeless nature.

These works of art are timeless because this is the dimension from which all form arises and has its being. The great artists painted, or had painted through them, these representations of beauty in form.  Let them speak to you at a level beyond words. Do not over analyze them but do let them serve you as reminders to you to be of service to the beauty of Love in form.
