The Anamcara Experience blog is about the Celtic spiritual idea called soul friendship (in Irish anam = soul and cara = friend). This blog features written meditations on the writing of the late Irish poet and scholar John O’Donohue, as well as other writers who offer spiritual direction. This is the real soul food served at the feast of soul friends.
The blog author is Tony Cuckson, who also has writings at www.irishblessingsmatter.com.
There are meditations on Irish mythology and the role of the Tuatha de Danaan, the beautiful people, for modern life. You are invited to journey to the mystical Land of Tir na nÓg and enjoy the spiritual experience of the Forever Young. There are reflections on spiritual wisdom from the Celtic world. Included in this blog are meditations on Irish blessings both ancient and new. You are given spiritual direction so that the road may rise up to meet you and sun shine on your face.
The power of storytelling to heal the wounded feminine within both the individual and collective culture is also a feature of this blog. Major categories that will be covered include mystical poetry, the hero’s journey the stages of the spiritual journey and related pointers for spiritual direction.
There will be meditations on the poems of such mystical poets as Rumi and Hafiz. In celebration of the Celtic wisdom in the poetry of W. B. Yeats, there is a major feature to invite you to the call of the heart. The modern poet David Whyte will invite you into a heart and a body that is free to allow the radiance of the beauty that it is your birthright.
Are you ready to radiate soul friendship?
