The sea is the sea of unlimited creativity born from the fathomless ocean of the Timeless.  To live from the knowing of this ocean is true intelligence.  This is finding time for the heart in no time at all.

When you plunge into this sea you do, in fact, return.  You are as a hero.  You return with the treasure of knowing who you are.  You know beyond doubt that your heart is the timeless unfathomable movement of Love in form.

This is real learning but it is not more learning about.  It is letting go all those questions that lead you deeper into doubt and false unknowing in order to live the a real question and a real quest.

An Anam cara invites you into knowledge of who you are beyond time and space and form.  These invitations into the beauty of who you are scattered amidst this page.

These invitations come from modern day soul friends such as Guy Finley and Erkhart Tolle.  In the journey into soul friendship, that this ezine invites you into, you will meet with so many more such people.  Each in their own way is singing the Universal Song.

They are not asking you to learn the song by rote.  They are asking that you let go into that song that you have come here to sing.  They are asking you to give time to your heart song.

The Celtic love talking is called geancannach. It is essentially speaking your devotion and adoration into the world. This is a beautiful practice arising from the heart’s connection to language. This is not your everyday language. It is an old language and yet in a true sense this language is timeless.

Idun and the Apples of Immortality

The Tuatha De Danann and the Law of Attraction

All mystics, all great souls, invite you to do one thing in order to be happy. This is that you give your life away. This is not an invitation to martyrdom but service.

One of the growing dynamics in this Western world is increase in depression. The writer Frank Mac Eowen says in The Celtic Way of Seeing that the answer to depression is devotion.

Devotion is a form of donation. You devote your energy to that which you love to serve. Note the clarity of the words, love to serve. This is service that arises from your own authority. It is not dictated by creed, guru, culture or family. It is an invitation from the heart that you are willing to embrace.

Be willing to serve. This doesn't mean you give up all you are now doing in order to save the world. It does mean you begin to ask question about your life situation and your relationship to life. Many people will tell you that such questions are heavy. The unwillingness to ask central questions of existence is the unwillingness to question and grow. It is the resistance to growth.

Do not force such questions. They will arise in your heart and your life situation in their own time. If you resist them then just be aware of such resistance. Such questions invite you into your soul purpose.

In this ezine The Anamcara Experience there is much written about the Tuatha de Danaan - the Beautiful People. In the second eCourse from The Anamcara Experience there is a story entitled, The Return to Beauty. This was one of the first stories I wrote and then told to groups. 

It opens by telling the listeners about the children of the Goddess Danu. Danu is the symbol of infinite experience of unconditional love. She give her name to the magnificent rivers Danube in central Europe and the Don in Russia and northern England. From her name we derive the word donation. The Buddhist concept of Dana- giving- is related to Danu, who is also sometimes called Dana.

Like the creative Source itself Danu is an outpouring of the infinite possibility moving through and from Love. She pours and pours herself away into her children until time comes and they leave to find another shore that will become the land of Erin. This is the archetypal story of life leaving love in order to know what Love is not so that one may return to Love knowing its true value.

Our world culture is one that is geared to getting rather than giving. We focus on getting as a compensation for our lost joy in giving. When we give there is often a subtle (or maybe even an explicit) expectation that we will receive. There is now a well known book and DVD on the self-improvement circuit called The Secret. This teaches one how to get through the universal Law of Attraction. This is useful information but misses, I feel, the real secret.

The Law of Attraction works because it is a Law of Love. It only wants to give but in giving it wants to flow. It is intended to flow into you, through you. You alchemize it into a higher form of Love in action and you, as this Love in action, pour it away newly created into form. This is the process of creation. Be in alignment with this creation and there is a deeply felt experience of being alive. There is the experience that life is designed to experience in fullness that the ego cannot give. This is the experience of joy.

In this way you align yourself with the river of life as represented by the Goddess Danu of Irish myth who give her name to those magnificent power of rivers like the Danube and Don.

Most people start off the Law of Attraction with the question, "What can I get out of this?" This isn't the true essence of the law. Thus you can get out of alignment with it. The key aspect of the Law of Attraction is to recognize that you commit to and move as one co-creating with the Divine. The Divine, as represented by the goddess Danu in this article, wants to create through you and created you for this purpose.

Who gets in the way of this process? You do. Most people ask the question of the Law of Attraction in this way, " How to I get……?" You fill in the blank Your 'getting' implies want, in the sense that it means lacking.

The more empowering way to ask questions, which keeps you in alignment with the creative process, is to ask "How can I serve?" The next thing that needs to happen is to listen and pay attention. All the beauty of the feminine arises within such asking and listening. This is what it the saying" Ask and it shall be given" means. You will be given the ability to serve to the degree your heart is in alignment with your purpose here on this planet.

The problem is that most of us do not trust this process. We are not alive to the flow of this river of life. In fact, we could literally hardly contain ourselves. Our hearts have become armored. We have left the knowing of the unconditional for the land of exile called separateness where we unconsciously work and work to find some sort of salvation - happiness.

As the poet and writer John O'Donohue writes in Divine Beauty: The Invisible Embrace

"You are created to create."

You are not created simply to produce. You are not just a human resource but a sound of God created to express Love in form. When enough of us are willing to be in alignment with the true Source then we begin to create a bridge.

This is the bridge between human and Divine. It meets within the heart. A heart in free flow wishes only one thing. This is to give Creation away because in such free flow there is joy. There is no sense of wanting. There is no requirement to artificially fake it until you make it. It is alignment with that infinite creative force that Loves to create through you. Within this there is a sense of ease, a sense of devotion.

An Anamcara invites you to become a donation to and for the highest good of all. This is true sacrifice - meaning to make sacred. This involves the willingness to become a devotee of Love. The Lover in you is timeless but needs you to devote time in order to create space for you to meet. Then, of course, we come again to the question, "Are you willing to give time to becoming a Lover?" Your degree of willingness will be indicated by the amount of time you give to learning to be what you are.

This is the invitation from the Course in Miracles that says, "Teach only Love for that is who you are." Then you really do become attractive in the real sense. Wanting nothing because Love has taught you that you can never be separate from Love. You need nothing more than to be connected to the flow of unconditional Love.
