The Tuatha De Danann - The Beautiful People
John Lennon sang How does it feel to
be? Baby, You're A Rich Man (Lennon/McCartney) An Anam cara - a soul friend - is in love with poetry, storytelling and song. These are stories, poetry and songs that are invitations to knowing who you really are. Once you are the knowing of who you are it becomes absolutely clear that you really are one of the beautiful people. In Ireland these beautiful people were once known as the Shining Ones called the Tuatha de Danaan. These are the beautiful people who became the little people or the fairie people. How does this feel to be beautiful? For one thing, you feel radiant. You might light up the life of others but this is because you are alight from within. This isn't something you do. You are already this. This is your natural state when you know who you really are. John Keats, the mystic poet in Ode to a Grecian Urn said
"Truth is beauty
This truth that Keats talked about is not a creed or a statement in words. It is the truth of the living and flowing process of Creation. This is your process and the truth of you as the unique flow of the creation you are. How do you know who you really are? How do you realize the beauty beyond what you judge within definitions of glamour and aesthetics? Here are only a few of the ways that you might commit to.
Learn to be your authentic story This is more a process of letting go and letting be. It is trusting in the flow of your creative story. This is not just the story about you that you filter into conditioned acceptability but the radiance of beauty when you feel as One with who you really are. Yours is the greatest story ever told. This is not the story of your ego but the real story of you as a radiance of Divine energy in form.
Learn to keep a green bough in your heart A Chinese proverb advises, "Keep a green bough in your heart and the singing bird will come." This bough is alive. It is your song that you can sing. It is the universal song singing through you. Chloë Goodchild in "Awakening through Sound" says
Deep within you lies your "naked voice" - the song of your heart that contains all your longing, joy, grief and passion - the "raw truth" of who you are.
This is an invitation to listen to yourself with "unconditional ears." It is the invitation to hear your own sound and become the resounding success beyond any limited definition of success within time and space you might attach to.
Learn the Language of Love To feel the beauty you are requires that you learn a language that unifies body, mind and heart. This is the language of love song, love poetry and love story. This is not the language of sentimentality but the language of unity and transformation. This is the language beyond the tower of the intellect. It takes the courage of the hero/ine to venture to the tower and kiss the sleeping beauty within you awake.
This is the invitation of a Soul Friend. They invite you into unity through the language of story, poetry and song. They invite you into radiance and the felt knowing as one of the beautiful people. Why not learn a new language that will open your heart to the radiance of the flow you are.
This is not a new language of a different country. It is the language of the beautiful people that live beyond time and form and space. It is the timeless language of Love. It is the one language that will take you into places beyond your imagination. This is not merely the language of sentimentality which tends to harbor attachment and fear of loss. It is the language of expansion attuned to your true nature.
You will not learn this language in school, college or university. These places of learning tend to fill you up with knowledge 'about' things. This is not the knowing of the universal song intended to be sung through you. You tend to get filled up with more and more information. You tend to become more informed. You miss the joy of being that which is beyond form.
This ezine and this website is written as an invitation to claim your birthright. This invitation comes from an Irish writer in love with poetry, song and storytelling. All over this site are invitations from soul friends. They have only one true desire. They all want you to be who you have come here to be. They all invite you into the beauty you are and the radiance that you are. They are outsiders standing on thresholds of new possibility. They are inviting you to the banquet where you can feast on your life.
They might give you some practices to do but they are not really intent on improving you. They are all inviting you to clear the dust off the mirror so that when you ask the magic mirror of your Divine mind, "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest off them all?" - all you will hear is laughter. This is not laughter that judges but laughter that recognizes the absolute beauty that creation mirrors through you.
This writer invites you into radiance through song, poetry and storytelling. He invites you though the language of the heart, the language of myth, symbol and art. These are timeless invitations into the timeless. They are intended to bring to the light of day the beauty that is inherent in all creation. In Irish mythology the Tuatha De Danaan are a magical people who have been driven underground by the Milesians.
The Milesians are the representations of a different power. These are the people of the intellect. These are the people of the rational. They fight the Tuatha de Danann at the second battle of Mag Tuired (Moytura) and are driven underground. This battle is still being fought in the hearts and minds of each one of us. This website is an invitation to allow the beautiful people - each one of you - to see the light of day - to see the reality of who you really are.
